Last wednesday, April 9, 2008 @ Up On Carling, the UWO S.A.L.S.A Club hosted it's last eventof the year.
The money raised went to Danica's Dream Charity.
Their were a variety of activities as for example a Dance competition called Bailando por un Sueño (Dancing for a Dream). Competitors chose their song and the type of latin dance they wanted to dance: salsa, cumbia,
quebradita, merengue, bachata, and vallenato.
Winners are determined by the number of votes they get. The votes are sold in exchange for a charitable donation. The Couple with the most votes at the end of the night become the Queen and King of the Dance floor.
Other activities and/or shows included an excellent performance by Antonio Alas Mariachi and a Flamenco show by Flamenco Dance Studio.
